All classes offer one graduate hour of credit for the cost of $230. Classes can also be audited for $155. Classes are completed in two days: Monday/Tuesday or Wednesday/Thursday, 9:00-4:00 p.m. All classes are held on the Lake Erie College campus in Painesville, OH

June 13-14: Getting Smarter with Smart Boards
Explore using interactive whiteboard technology with SMART Boards to motivate students and enhance the teaching-learning process for large and small group instruction. Discover numerous instructional presentations and interactive resources already created and available online that will enable you to immediately implement whiteboard technology in your classroom. A basic overview of SMART Notebook software, as well as how to integrate PowerPoint and Word with SMART Board technology, will be presented. Class time will include demonstration of the SMART Board with an opportunity for small groups to interact with the technology plus time in a computer lab to explore presentations and online activities that can be used with SMART Boards. July 20-21: Pinterest for Educators
Discover how Pinterest can be used as effective technology tool to enhance student learning. This course will cover the basics of using Pinterest to find, save and organize educational resources as well as delve into some more advanced features. Participants will explore using Pinterest as a professional learning network and as a means for collaborating with colleagues. Tips for using Pinterest with students will be discussed. Whether you’re a newbie or already addicted to Pinterest, you’ll learn how to use this social network more effectively and leave this course with fresh activities, tips, and resources that can be used to support learning.
